This Privacy Policy explains how Hollon Productions LLC (“Shinnpad,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use Shinnpad. We built Shinnpad as a working teacher, and we treat your studio’s data the way we’d want ours treated: kept private, isolated per studio, and never sold.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed) when you sign up, plus your studio profile details.
- Studio content you enter — information about your students, their families, lessons, schedules, payments, mileage, expenses, and bookkeeping records. Some of this may relate to minors (your students); you enter and control it.
- Payment information — handled by Stripe. We do not see or store full card numbers; we store only limited identifiers (such as a customer ID, card brand, and last four digits) needed to operate billing and payments.
- Usage data — basic, non-identifying analytics about which features and pages are used, to help us improve the product. We log a normalized page route, not the personal details on the page.
- Cookies — we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we never show ads.
2. How we use information
- to provide, maintain, and secure the Service;
- to process subscriptions and, where you enable it, payments between you and your families;
- to send transactional and studio email you’ve set up (reminders, weekly digests, inquiry notifications) and important account notices;
- to improve features and fix problems;
- to comply with the law and enforce our Terms.
We do notsell your personal information or your studio’s data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Service providers we share with
We use a small set of trusted providers to run Shinnpad. They process data only to provide their service to us:

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Shinnpad and its users.
4. The parent portal
When you share a parent-portal link, the family who has that link can view a read-only summary of their own upcoming lessons and balance. The secret link is the credential — anyone with it can view that family’s summary — so share it carefully. You can rotate a link at any time to invalidate the old one.
5. Children’s data
Shinnpad is a business tool for teachers, not a service directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Information about your students (some of whom may be minors) is entered and controlled by you, their teacher. You are responsible for having the appropriate permission to record that information and for handling it in line with applicable law.
6. Data retention, security, and location
Your data is isolated per studio and protected at the database level, on managed, backed-up infrastructure. We retain your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete it. Data is processed and stored in the United States. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Your choices and rights
- Export. Export your students, families, and payments to a spreadsheet at any time.
- Access & correction. View and edit your studio data directly in the app.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing support.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information; contact us to exercise them.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
