Built by a teacher who’s still teaching.

I’m a percussion instructor. I run a ~50-student studio across five campuses, and I built Shinnpad because every tool I tried was either bloated, overpriced, or clearly made by people who’d never driven 40 minutes between two schools to teach back-to-back lessons.

So I built the thing I actually needed: simple scheduling, painless payments, and the part nobody else does well — a bookkeeping & tax center made for self-employed music teachers. Mileage between campuses, expenses, quarterly taxes, and a year-end Schedule C your CPA can actually use, in plain language: “You taught 18 lessons, drove 143 business miles, bought $62 in sticks, set aside $118 for taxes.”

It’s everything I wanted, at about half the price of the big platforms — because it’s built by one of us, not a software company guessing at what we do.

Built to be trusted with your studio.

Your studio is your livelihood, so Shinnpad is engineered like real software, not a flimsy side project. Your data is isolated and protected at the database level, on managed, backed-up infrastructure, and a dedicated cybersecurity team has scanned the app for vulnerabilities. Here’s how your information stays safe:

Your data is yours

Export your students, families, and payments to a spreadsheet anytime. No lock-in, ever.

Actually engineered

Every studio's data is isolated and protected at the database level, on managed, backed-up infrastructure — not a hobby project held together with tape.

A real person behind it

I run my own studio on Shinnpad every day. If something breaks, it breaks for me first — and you can email me.

It’s built and maintained with real care — and run efficiently enough that I can charge a fraction of what the legacy platforms do, without cutting corners on the things that protect your studio.
